The options
- Commission in the unit rate. A small amount per kWh is included in the unit rate of your supply contract for its full term. The cost moves in line with how much energy you use.
- Commission in the standing charge. A fixed amount per day is included in the standing charge instead. The cost stays the same whatever your consumption, so you know it in advance.
- A fixed consultancy fee. A fee agreed in writing before we start and invoiced separately by us. We agree with you at the same time whether any commission is also included in your rates.
- A share of savings, for audits and recoveries. For auditing and bill recovery work, we can agree a share of the savings or recoveries we deliver, set out in writing before work begins.
Whichever you choose
- Where commission is included in your rates, it is paid by you as part of the price, and passed to us by the supplier.
- We set the level of commission, and every comparison we show you already includes it, so the figures you see are the figures you pay.
- It is disclosed to you before you sign anything, typically at quote stage, in pence per kWh or pence per day.
- It is also shown in your supplier contract, and available from us on request at any time.
Tell us what you prefer
There is no single right answer. Some organisations prefer to keep everything within the rates, others want a fixed figure they can budget for. Let us know your preference and we will talk it through with you before any quotes are prepared.
